Miles and Dough: Running for a Cause
For me, running and baking are about more than personal goals—they’re about giving back. Every step I run and every loaf I bake carries a purpose.


I pour my heart into baking artisan breads and cakes, selling them to support causes I care about while funding my running adventures. Since marathon spots are notoriously hard to secure through lotteries, I run with charity teams, using my miles to make a meaningful impact.

Fundraising Efforts
- Chicago Marathon with Best Buddies
- Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- The world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people

The Evanston Farmers Market
- Passed a proctored Food Handler’s Certification exam and created detailed ingredient and allergen labels to earn the Cottage Food License, enabling me to run a successful booth at the Evanston Farmers Market.
- Shared MK’s Sexy Doughs to 500 members of the Evanston Community
- Received additional 150 orders earning $2,000 in donations for Best Buddies
